FSIS National Small Plant Roundtable:
Who: FSIS, Very Small and Small Meat Processing Establishments
When: Friday, July 26, 2024 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Central Time
What: A National Small Plant Roundtable will be held in conjunction with the Southwest Meat Association’s 68th Annual Convention & Suppliers Showcase at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Round Rock, Texas. People may participate in person, virtually, or by phone. This meeting will cover FSIS initiatives, updating the Grant of Inspection, policy updates, and labeling criteria.
Virginia Tech 2-day HACCP Certification Course
Virginia Tech is offering a two-and-a-half day HACCP workshop for meat and poultry processors during July 29 – 31 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This “Development and Implementation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Programs” workshop will run from Monday July 29 (1:30 pm) through Wednesday July 31 (~3:30 pm) at the Hyatt Place hotel in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The registration fee is $550 per person which includes continental breakfasts and two lunches, coffee breaks, and all course materials and handouts. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion with the International HACCP Alliance accreditation seal.
The course enrollment fee is $500 per person for employees of the same company at the same location.
The course fee is payable by credit card here, or by check made payable to Treasurer, Virginia Tech and mailed to:
