Location: Des Moines, IA (Near 18th and MLK)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Compensation: $30-35/hr or Salary (depending on fit) + Performance-Based Quarterly Bonuses
Overtime: Potential availability when needed

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Beef Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in butchering beef, including boning both front and hind quarters. Experience with goat and lamb butchery is also highly desired. This role provides an opportunity for a great work-life balance, as our working hours are from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with afternoons and weekends off.

Responsibilities:

• Beef Boning:Proficiently cut, bone, and process beef front and hind quarters.
• Goat & Lamb Processing:Prepare goat and lamb carcasses as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the processing environment.
• Ensure high-quality standards are met consistently.
• Participate in maintaining and caring for all equipment.
• Support team efforts and contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in butchering, specifically with beef, goat, and lamb.
• Ability to efficiently bone beef front and hind quarters.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet high-quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to excellent work.
